Look What We Made. (pt. 4)
Not to be confused with the original, the sequel or what some thought of as the final chapter in the trilogy. It took a lot longer this time than usual to decide for one more but in hindsight I think that had to do more with outside circumstances rather than actually making the choice. We have now officially crossed that line into “whoa you guys have allot of kids” territory which is okay with us. Kids are funny that way and how adding just one more tiny person to your family can completely change the dynamic. Having two is nothing at all like having one and having three is something completely different than when there was just two. I’m guessing four is once again going to turn things on it’s head and suddenly the children will quite outnumber poor mom and dad.
Now due to some ridiculous law the ultrasound tech is “unable” to tell us the sex of the baby since we might be disappointed if they are wrong and sue them or something like that. But of course the info will be in our file once it gets sent back to our doctors office and she will be able to tell us. It does take away some of the excitement of the whole ultrasound appointment but at this point if it was anything else but a bundle of sugar and spice I’d be quite surprised.

Oh my goodness!
Congratualtions. Fantastic!

Ya Carrie. Check your email. We wanted to tell you in person but we didn’t manage to get together in time. See we are picking up your slack and then some!

I lurk more than I comment, but Congratulations! Details? how far along? estimated Due Date? I bet on you having a boy!
February 6th, 2009 at 1:46 pm
Corrie is due at the end of June so about 5 months along now. We are pretty good at keeping secrets! I don’t know about that bet, the odds would seem to be against you.
February 6th, 2009 at 2:32 pm
One of our neighbours have six children, ALL boys, so ya really never know.
But my bet is boy.
I am jeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalous.
February 6th, 2009 at 3:17 pm
I certainly don’t prefer one over the other. A girl would be easier since we have bins and bins of girl clothes but a boy would be a nice change too. I’m pretty easy either way.
You know we really need to try and get together this summer if possible. I think Bob and Maggie and our girls would have a blast!
February 6th, 2009 at 5:36 pm
I had a preference when I was pregnant with Bob; I wanted a boy. But when I was pregnant with Meeps, I didn’t care either way truly. Of course then everyone was all “oh you must be hoping for a girl” just as I’m sure you must hear “trying for that BOY are you.”
Yup, we gotta get together this summer. Gotta gotta. Scott has a nice little variety of time off here and there so it is completely likely that we may road trip.

I’m so thrilled for you guys. I can’t wait to find out if it’s a girl or boy!
February 6th, 2009 at 5:58 pm
Congrats!!!!!! I’d be willing to bet it’s a girl. But you never know and as long as the baby is healthy, who cares?
February 6th, 2009 at 7:59 pm
You’ve got it right Ashley. Pretty much everyone assumes we are hoping for a boy but we really aren’t. That would be so awesome..you should email Corrie and work it out, she’s the social director!
I’ll be sure to update everyone once we hear from the doctor. We are guessing it’ll be on Tuesday by the time the radiologist works his way through the backlog of ultrasounds to look at.
February 6th, 2009 at 8:11 pm
That’s awesome!!! I’m so jealous!

Good job guys, congratulations!
This spring we’ll get to meet Hanna finally, and then I guess we’ll have to wait another couple years before we meet Worden child 4. Are the girls excited?
February 7th, 2009 at 8:17 am
Thanks Leah, we’re looking forward to seeing you guys (and little RJ too) this spring. As for the girls we were waiting until we had the ultrasound picture to show them (and were hoping to know if it was a boy or girl as well) but I think we are going to tell them later today. I’m guessing though that Sidney and Olivia have been through it before and might not be too interested and Hannah is probably too small for it to really register in any grand way. We’ll find out as we go.

Give us a blog post about their reactions, if you have time

Not that I am a betting person, but I would say girl. But boys sure are fun and easy.
And congratulations, hugely. Can’t wait to see you guys tomorrow!
February 7th, 2009 at 7:19 pm
Oh wow! That’s totally awesome and I extend my best wishes to you and Corrie both!
You know, some day I’m going to have to meet your family. Maybe this summer we should arrange a get together…

Thanks Rik. We get our regular updates on your doings from Jason and Carrie. We’ll definately have to set something up.
Thanks Joan..
Yep she/he was just chilling out but since the placenta is in the back this time (it’s been in the front with both Olivia and Hannah) Corrie has felt a few pokes already.
February 9th, 2009 at 10:13 am
congratulations! this kicks off a good Monday for me, so thank you
I love your blog, and your family seems awesome, and I am glad that you’re bringing more good people into the world! congrats again!

congrats on the up-coming baby!
February 12th, 2009 at 1:55 pm
Ryan,
Did Corrie have back labor due to this?
I’m a month behind Corrie and my placenta is at the front this time. Doc says I probably won’t feel the baby kick until about 20weeks
Soooo… update already! Girl or boy???
February 12th, 2009 at 2:35 pm
I’m not sure if it is a coincedence or not but both Livey and Hannah were placenta at the front and she did complain of sore backs far more with those two. I guess this will be the test to see if it is all placenta posistioning related.
Unfortunately no update just yet. We called the doctor on Tuesday to ave her look in the file and were greeted by a message letting us know she was on vacation until the 17th. I guess if we have waited this long we can wait a few more days. I can say that the kids have decided that unicorn would be the best choice of name for it though.
February 12th, 2009 at 4:28 pm
How is old Unicorn doing?
I keep giggling thinking about that name, seriously. I loved that Sidney was just embarrassed enough to not want to tell me. But did anyway because her love of that name outweighs her awareness that it may be a silly name.
February 12th, 2009 at 5:37 pm
Hahaha. Olivia is on board with that name now too. I’ve been instructed by the missus to not mention it anymore. I think she is worried the girls will be disappointed when we don’t actually name the baby that.
February 17th, 2009 at 12:22 am
but unicorn is a lovely name! lol
i can’t wait to hear if it’s a boy or girl!
February 17th, 2009 at 6:40 am
Well we won’t have to wait much longer. Apparenlty our doctor is back in the office from her vacation today. So we’ll be giving her a call today!
